Art Club
In Year 2 Art Club we work with different medium including paint, clay, collage and 3D models. It is an informal group of 12 children and is lots of fun! Work is always displayed around the school and taken home at the end of term.

Gym Squad
Gym Squad is for selected pupils who show a talent for gymnastics. They learn floor moves and a variety of vaults as well as preparing a routine to perform in the Chelmsford and District Primary Schools Gymnastics Competition in November

Tennis Coaching
Tennis coaching is now available for St Cedds pupils. Steve Luck an experienced licensed LTA coach offers group and individual coaching for all ages.
There are two dedicated sessions for pupils in Years 4 to 6 on a Monday or a Thursday evening. Saturday sessions are available for Reception/Year 1, 1115 and Years 4 & 5, 1300. A pupil parent’s session on Sundays from 1300 to 1400 is also available for children in Years 2 and 3.
Steve may be contacted by email tennis@steveluck.freeserve.co.uk or by telephone on 01621 857858, 07860 446209.
French Club
This club is open to pupils in Year 3 to 6 and is designed to expand and re-enforce the curriculum using games in French. These are mostly played using the computer and whiteboard.

ICT Clubs
These clubs are for Year 1, Year 2 and Years 3&4 and are designed to help pupils with any aspect of computing that they wish to use. They work individually and are mostly taught on a one-to-one basis.

Mad Science
Pupils from Yeas 3 to 6 are invited to attend this after school club. It is led by external instructors and each session studies an aspect of the world of Science. A vast range of resources are used and the emphasis is placed upon enjoyment of Science, with the aim of encouraging pupils to widen their experience of Science beyond the classroom.

Gardening Club
Year 6 Eco-members attend this club during a lunch break. They are involved in a range of plant propagation techniques, including stem cuttings, seed-sowing, pricking out and soil preparation. In the Autumn term the school garden provides various crops that are prepared for consumption by the whole school by the catering department.
The club members also assist with the collection of waste paper that is recycled by the local council.
Other activities have included: participation in the RSPB School Birdwatch, harvesting soft fruit and apples from sponsored trees at Lathcoats Farm.
