I am proud to introduce you to St Cedd’s school.

As parents, choosing a school is the most important decision we make. Like buying a house you often know when a house feels right as soon as you view it for yourself. We would love you to visit us and experience for yourself the unique culture and ethos of St Cedd’s School.  

What we provide

Our Nursery provides our boys and girls with the perfect springboard to learning. From Reception through to Year 6 we provide a happy, vibrant and purposeful environment where children are encouraged to become independent, confident and caring individuals.

Highest level of attainment

A St Cedd’s School’s education will foster imagination and originality in your child and prepare them for a successful entry to their senior schools and for life in the 21^st Century. Our girls and boys aspire to the highest level of attainment and we are proud of our successful track record of 11+ entry to grammar schools, and scholarships to independent schools. It means an expansive academic curriculum, a wonderful programme of sport and an extraordinary creative output of music, drama and art.

International School Status (ISA)

Our International School Status is an innovative development which supports our focus on looking outwards to the world and the lives of others, and nurturing the individual in a community based on fairness, respect and kindness where adults and children are always considerate of each other. We have established links with two schools; one in Japan and another in India.

Choir Foundation School (CFS)

We are a member of the Choral Foundation and our choristers join the Cathedral Choir, Chelmsford, for evensong, choral services and concerts.

This leads to successful entry and excellent preparation for scholarships to pupils’ first choice schools, whether that is within the state or independent sector or grammar school entry.
