St Cedd's Admissions Criteria

Entry Criteria

  • Children may start at our Nursery in the term they are rising 3.
  • Siblings of children in St Cedd’s School will be given priority of a place in the Nursery.
  • A registration fee of £100, together with a copy of the birth certificate is required before a child can be considered for entry to St Cedd’s School.
  • Children offered a place in Nursery are not guaranteed of a place in Reception.


Offer of Places

  • Places are offered further to a meeting with the Head Teacher or Admissions Secretary to establish:

          -   Parents’ sympathy with the ethos of the school and commitment to their child’s education.

          -   Child’s ability to cope with the curriculum i.e. no learning difficulty or physical/emotional problem 
               which we may not be able to support in the interests of the child.

 

  • Formal offers are posted to parents following the meeting with the Head Teacher or Admissions Secretary.
  • There is a 21 day deadline for acceptance and a £250 advanced fee payment to secure the place (repayable only at the end of the pupil’s final term to the school).
  • Confirmation of attendance will be sent out with acknowledgement following receipt of duly completed Acceptance Form, advanced fee payment of £250 and Standard Terms and Conditions document.
