Two Leagues Club

The Two Leagues Club is comprised of an After School Club for all years including Nursery, and a Thursday Afternoon Club for Reception children.

The After School Club runs from 1515 - 1815 each evening. Children can be booked into the club on a regular basis where they attend on a fixed day or days each week. Alternatively, children can attend on an ad hoc basis as and when required, subject to spaces being available.

At 1515 Nursery and Lower School children are collected from their classrooms and escorted to the Two Leagues Club area which comprises two Lower School classrooms, the Art Room and the foyer leading to the hall. At 1520 a light snack is provided for the children. This is freshly prepared each afternoon, and varies from day to day. Children can choose from assorted sandwiches, filled wraps, cheese cubes and crackers, tea cakes, bread sticks, carrot and cucumber sticks, fresh fruit or yoghurt. Fresh orange juice, apple juice or water is available to drink. Dietary preferences are catered for according to parents’ wishes. After the snack, the children are offered a range of creative activities and play opportunities. If the weather is fine, supervised outdoor play is also available.

Upper School children make their own way to the club when school finishes at 1545.  At 1550 their light snack is served, after which they undertake their supervised homework. Once homework is completed, Upper School children can play outside if the weather is fine, or remain indoors and choose their own activities. Parents are free to collect their child anytime up to 1815.

The Thursday Afternoon Club runs from 1215 – 1515. As with the After School Club, children may attend on a regular or ad hoc basis. A school lunch is provided at this club and is included in the price. This is a ‘fun’ club, and, similar to the After School Club, children are offered various creative activities and play opportunities, and they are free to choose what they would like to do. This club provides the children with the opportunity of mixing with their peers from other classes in a relaxed atmosphere, thus developing their social skills. Parents collect their child at 1515.

The emphasis of both clubs is on the children being able to ‘chill out’ in their out of school time, but in the safe and familiar environment of their own school.

In addition to After School Care, the Two Leagues Club also operates a holiday scheme during most weeks of the school holidays.  Two clubs are available – one for Early Years children and another for children in Year 1 and above. The operational hours are 0800 – 1800, and the children are offered a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, quizzes, scavenger hunts, team games and a variety of outdoor activities.
